Artist Statement: After studying biology, anatomy & physiology, I am in awe of the diversity in nature. I want to remember all the beauty around me, and by painting it, I remember it best. I have lived overlooking the Mississippi River for many years, and I want to share with others the memories of the paddle boats and their wonderful playing calliopes. I paint mostly in oils, and use acrylics while traveling. My subjects include portraits, regional realism, wildlife and scenes from travel with my husband Jerry. Itʼs a wonderful life, give me time to paint it!

I am a member of the Clayton County Artists, Iowa Artists, and DRAC. In 2002 I studied under Tom Mulder at the La Romita School of Art in Terni, Italy. In 2001 I took classes under Lee Rummel in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
