Artist Statement: I grew up in Muskegon, MI where I spent most of my time on the sand dunes and beaches of Lake Michigan. In December 2004 I moved to Tacoma, WA where I fell in love with the mountains and all the art the area had to offer. With my family in Michigan and my husband’s mom and sister in Prairie du Chien, we decided to move to PDC at the end of October 2009 to be closer to our families.
I discovered pour art in late 2017. I taught myself by spending many, many hours on YouTube and joining several Facebook groups. I am always learning and experimenting with new techniques and paint mixtures looking for different effects.
Early 2019 I learned about pour art jewelry. I have always loved jewelry, so I fell in love with making it instantly! I focus more on jewelry now, but I still love making other forms of art. It’s like therapy and makes me happy and helps me release.
